This is a very straightforward breeding project. I want giant paste tomatoes that are disease resistant. I bred and Heirloom past tomato with a modern hybrid paste tomato that weighed over a pound. The perfect tomato from this breeding line would be a multi-use tomato. That is, a tomato that is big and meaty like a paste, but not mealy. One that has just enough juice to be used as a slicer for the table and also easily cooked down into a sauce. So far, the tomatoes I have grown from this line have had a ton of flavor but I have not had the big one yet. By big, I mean at least 250 grams or around 10 ounces and up. Your job would be to select for flavor and size and find the perfect big paste tomato.
