Dark Opal Basil is the first non-green basil I put in my herb garden back a few dozen years ago. It has always been a favorite for its beautiful dark purple leaves. It has a very strong aroma and adds great flavor to foods. It dries and stores well. I dry both green and purple basil to add extra color to my cooking.
